When This Medicine Should Not Be Used:
You should not use this medicine if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any ergot alkaloids such as Cafergot®, Ergostat®, or Bellergal® . You should not use this medicine if you have a history of mental problems.

How to Use This Medicine:
Tablet, Liquid Filled Capsule, Liquid

  • Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to take and how often. It may take 3 to 4 weeks for this medicine to start to work.
  • Take this medicine at meal times or with food or milk to avoid upset stomach.
  • Place the sublingual tablet under your tongue and let it dissolve. Do not chew or swallow the tablet. Do not eat or drink when the tablet is under your tongue.
  • Measure the oral liquid with the dropper that comes with the medicine. Drop the medicine into your mouth or mix with food or fluids (such as applesauce, fruit juice, milk, or water).

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:

  • Severe itching and rash
  • Trouble breathing

If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:

  • Tongue irritation (with the sublingual tablet)
  • Upset stomach
