Warnings While Using This Medicine: - Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease, bleeding problems, bone marrow problems (including a blood cancer or myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS)), or a history of blood clots. Also tell your doctor if you had surgery to remove your spleen.
- This medicine may cause the following problems:
- Worsening of MDS to leukemia
- Higher risk of blood clots (including portal vein thrombosis)
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.

Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects: - Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Chest pain, trouble breathing, coughing up blood
- Pinpoint red spots on the skin
- Sudden or severe headache, problems with vision, speech, or walking
- Unusual bleeding or bruising, or blood in the urine or stools
- Weakness in your arm or leg, or on one side of your body
If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor: - Headache, dizziness, or trouble sleeping
- Indigestion, stomach pain or upset
- Muscle or joint pain, or pain in your shoulders
- Numbness, tingling, or burning pain in your hands, arms, legs, or feet
- Redness, pain, swelling, itching, blistering, or rash where the shot was given
